Q: Who is Shankaracharya?
- The world remembers only those greatest teachers who concurred the near impossible task that is controlling the mind completely, and also helped others by their magnificent teachings to concur the mind (Chitta). I bow down to the greatest teacher Shankaracharya.
- Shankaracharya was the greatest scholar who had the knowledge of all the Vedas and Upanishads.
- Shankaracharya given the beautiful quote to the world that "The whole world comes down to one spiritual reality".
- Shankaracharya given the exact and accurate knowledge of the true self through Nirvana Shatakam.
- Shankaracharya given the commentaries on Brahma Sutras, Upanishads, and Bhagavad Geeta that are the apex of Indian intellectual writing.

- Shankaracharya lived only 32 years on this earth, and gave the great knowledge of true self to the entire world that lasts for thousands of years.
- Shankaracharya in his entire life span he did not lose a single debate. That justifies the intelligence of Shankara.
- Shankaracharya gave the knowledge to the entire world that yoga is the only way to realize true self, from the journey thoughtfulness(vikalpa) to thoughtlessness(nirvikalpa). The only way to get rid of all sorrows and get rid of birth and death life cycle. न च व्योम भूमिर्न तेजॊ न वायु: चिदानन्द रूप: शिवोऽहम् शिवोऽहम् ॥1॥ न च प्राण संज्ञो न वै पञ्चवायु: न वा सप्तधातुर्न वा पञ्चकोश: न वाक्पाणिपादौ न चोपस्थपायू चिदानन्द रूप:शिवोऽहम् शिवोऽहम् ॥2॥ न मे द्वेष रागौ न मे लोभ मोहौ मदो नैव मे नैव मात्सर्य भाव: न मे द्वेष रागौ न मे लोभ मोहौ मदो नैव मे नैव मात्सर्य भाव: न पुण्यं न पापं न सौख्यं न दु:खम् न मन्त्रो न तीर्थं न वेदार् न यज्ञा: अहं भोजनं नैव भोज्यं न भोक्ता चिदानन्द रूप:शिवोऽहम् शिवोऽहम् ॥4॥ न मे मृत्यु शंका न मे जातिभेद:पिता नैव मे नैव माता न जन्म: न बन्धुर्न मित्रं गुरुर्नैव शिष्य: चिदानन्द रूप: शिवोऽहम् शिवोऽहम् ॥5॥ अहं निर्विकल्पॊ निराकार रूपॊ विभुत्वाच्च सर्वत्र सर्वेन्द्रियाणाम् न चासंगतं नैव मुक्तिर्न मेय: चिदानन्द रूप: शिवोऽहम् शिवोऽहम् ॥6॥ |

I am not the ears, the skin, the nose or the eyes,
I am not space, not earth, not fire, water or wind,
I am the form of consciousness and bliss,
I am the eternal Shiva I am not the breath, nor the five elements, I am not matter, nor the 5 sheaths of consciousness Nor am I the speech, the hands, or the feet, I am the form of consciousness and bliss, I am the eternal Shiva. There is no like or dislike in me, no greed or delusion, I know not pride or jealousy, I have no duty, no desire for wealth, lust or liberation, I am the form of consciousness and bliss, I am the eternal Shiva. No virtue or vice, no pleasure or pain, I need no mantras, no pilgrimage, no scriptures or rituals, I am not the experienced, nor the experience itself, I am the form of consciousness and bliss, I am the eternal Shiva. I have no fear of death, no caste or creed, I have no father, no mother, for I was never born, I am not a relative, nor a friend, nor a teacher nor a student, I am the form of consciousness and bliss, I am the eternal Shiva. I am devoid of duality, my form is formlessness, I exist everywhere, pervading all senses, I am neither attached, neither free nor captive, I am the form of consciousness and bliss, I am the eternal Shiva. |

मैं न तो कान हूं, न जीभ, न नासिका, न ही नेत्र हूं
मैं न तो आकाश हूं, न धरती, न अग्नि, न ही वायु हूं
मैं तो शुद्ध चेतना हूं, अनादि, अनंत शिव हूं। मैं न प्राण हूं, न ही पंच वायु हूं मैं न सात धातु हूं, और न ही पांच कोश हूं मैं न वाणी हूं, न हाथ हूं, न पैर, न ही उत्सर्जन की इन्द्रियां हूं मैं तो शुद्ध चेतना हूं, अनादि, अनंत शिव हूं। |
