"योगश्चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः = Yoga is getting rid of all the thoughts from the mind.
Question: Getting rid of all the thoughts from the mind, how it works?
Answer: Imagine, if you get the thought of your enemy you will get angry, if you get a thought of beautiful girl/boy you will get lust, if you get the thought of your son/daughter/loved-one you will get affection, if you get the thought of money you will get greed, if you think deeply on the problem you will get solution, if you get the thought of your rich friend, you will get jealousy. Hence, the reason behind all the good and bad things are thoughts. To get rid of all the thoughts is the key to attain permanent happiness.
The last stage of yoga is called as Nirvikalpa Samadhi, which is "Thoughtless Ultimate Bliss". Neither good thoughts bother you nor bad thoughts, you will stay in the equilibrium state forever.
